計算莫耳分率問題?

if the mole fraction of benzene in a particular solution is 0.53, what is the mole fraction of benzene in the vapor phase in equilibrium with that solution?

    Solutions of benzene and toluene obey Raoult's law. The vapor pressures at 20 C are: benzene, 76 mmHg; toluene, 21 mmHg.

    If the mole fraction of benzene in the solution is 0.53, then

    p(benz) = 0.53 * 76 mmHg = 40.28 mmHg

    p(tol) = 0.47 * 21 mmHg = 9.87 mmHg

    As the partial pressures are proportional to the number of moles in the vapor phase, you can say that

    xg(benz) = 40.28 / (40.28 + 9.87) = 0.80.mmHg
