If the mole fraction of benzene in the solution is 0.53, then

p(benz) = 0.53 * 76 mmHg = 40.28 mmHg

p(tol) = 0.47 * 21 mmHg = 9.87 mmHg

As the partial pressures are proportional to the number of moles in the vapor phase, you can say that

xg(benz) = 40.28 / (40.28 + 9.87) = 0.80.mmHg
