    I soon found a seat and sat down amid non-peak hours.

    Notes:

    1. peak hours, rush hours, traffic hours are all fine for 巔峰時間

    2. past tense is better for this situation.

    3. Amid is the best preposition for this situation.

    Since it wasn't rush hour, I was able to find an empty seat quickly.

    Or,

    Since it wasn't rush hour, I was able to find seating quickly.

    Because of not being the rush hour, I found a seat to sit soon.
