    be prone to (prep.) N

    be prone to do (infinitive) something

    e.g.

    Working without a break makes you more prone to error.

    Tired drivers were found to be particularly prone to ignore warning signs.

    你把第二句改prone to ignoring warning signs也不會說你錯

    只是你要分辨清楚to是介系詞(+Ving)還是不定詞(+Vr)

    必須是N。所以必須用Ving。

    My boss is prone to anger when my work isn't done on schedule.

    My sister is prone to sneezing because of her allergies.

    Prone to V+ing, as in "...prone to ignoring the instructions"

    prone to 的“to”is always a 介繫辭;就像looking forward to的“to”一樣。
