    XRD EDX EDS

    EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectrometer)能谱分析,能谱仪是与扫描电子显微镜或透射电镜相连的设备。在微米或纳米尺度上对扫描电镜或透射电镜内通过电子碰撞所产生的X射线的能量进行测量来确定物质化学成分。分析范围:4-100号元素定性定量分析。

    特点:1,能快速、同时对各种试样的微区内Be-U的所有元素,元素定性、定量分析,几分钟即可完成。2,对试样与探测器的几何位置要求低:对W.D的要求不是很严格;可以在低倍率下获得X射线扫描、面分布结果。3,能谱所需探针电流小:对电子束照射后易损伤的试样,例如生物试样、快离子导体试样、玻璃等损伤小。4,检测限一般为0.1%-0.5%,中等原子序数的无重叠峰主元素的定量相误差约为2%。

    It would seem that XRF and EDX are types of Bulk Chemical Analysis Methods.

    EDX is direct excitation where an x-ray beam is pointed directly at a sample. Filter made of various elements may be placed between the source and sample to increase the excitation of the element of interest or reduce the background in the region of interest.

    XRF uses a secondary target, where the source points at the target, the target element is excited and fluoresces, and then the target fluorescence is used to excite the sample.

    EDX: Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer

    Energy Dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDX) spectrometer is the instrument to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses for elements comprising a material by measuring re-emitted characteristic X-ray from elements. EDX is non-destructive and therefore can be used for various applications like solid, powder, liquid and wafer.
