    最佳解答

    1. "I'm the one who (farted / passed gas) just now," he said, a bit abashed.

    2. "The person who (farted / passed gas) just now was me," he admitted

    sheepishly.

    3. With some embarrassment, he said, "I just (farted / passed gas)."

    "Farted" 比较不礼貌……

Useful language indeed but let me start from more elegant way to say it:

    1. "I am sorry." this is the most elegant way to apologize when the context is clear.

    2. "Opps, I just did it."

    3. "Sorry to pass gas like that."

    4. "Sorry, I just cut one."

    5. "I just cut the cheese."

    6. "I just farted"

    7. "farted" - this is crude but sometimes funny. Kids say this to the family.

    Back to the question:

He said embarrassingly "I am sorry (to pass gas)."

Oh, yes, I should have used "embarrassedly" but my auto-correct changed it to ingly.

Sorry to blame it on the old faithful.
