have sth ready to V的ready 還是形容詞媽 have 可以直加adj 怪怪的

have food ready to eat <--- food是to eat的受詞

have dresses ready to wear <--- dresses是to wear的受詞

have money ready to spend <--- money是spend的受詞

have a dictionary ready to look up <--- look up是片語動詞, 視為一體.

have weapons ready to fight with <--- fight是不及物, 所以要加介系詞with.

此外, 當have作為使役動詞時, sb/sth是to V的動作主體, 就不是to V的受詞了

    have sb/sth ready to V

    這種情況, ready to V稱為「受詞補語(OC)」, 亦即have+O+OC的結構.

have the soldiers ready to fight <--- 士兵是to fight的動作主體, 而不是to fight的受詞

have the funds ready to back up <--- the funds是to back up的動作主體, 而不是其受詞

一般是說: will get them ready; will get them prepared

    而不會說: will ready them

    have food ready to eat

    如大大所說的,我知道have someone ready(adj.)to...

have someone readied to do something= get someone prepared to do something

    Is it right or wrong?

    have them fixed

    fix my car

I'll have it fixed

to have something (to be) ready to V

to have something done = something happens to you

While they were on holiday, they had their car broken into.

to have something done = to arrange for something to be done or for someone to do something

The place is looking much better since they had it redecorated.

to have (got) something ready/done/finished = to have finished work on something so that it is ready

They readied the room for guests.

    She readied herself to speak.

We have to ready ourselves for a tough flight ahead.

我個人以為:to have someone ready ... They are ready.

I will have my car fixed (by a mechanic).(給別人修時,可以不寫出by xxx,因為誰做不重要,而且任何人都可以做)

    I will fix my car.(我自己修)

I will have my car fixed by myself.(我自己修,必須寫出來by myself,才明確表示不是別人做的)但這種寫法太繞圈子了,不符修辭要求,應會說成: I myself will fix my car.
