是judge on 還是judge for

They are also judged for their ability to steer a canoe.

They are also judged for their ability to steer a canoe.

    - on : 對於xxx;就xxx

    - for : 表原因

They are also judged for their ability to steer a canoe.

They are also judged on their ability to steer a canoe.

People also judge them for their ability to steer a canoe.

People also judge them on their ability to steer a canoe.

to judge somebody on something應該是本句動詞的邏輯關係,即to form an opinion about somebody after considerign all the details or facts。

Schools are judged on their exam results.

The paintings will be judged on imagination and technique.

如果寫成for their ability to steer a canoe,就可能被認為是一個用來修飾述部的介系詞片語,表示原因,如:

He was sick for lack of food.

We're all much better people for having known Carl.

He was punished for stealing. (to punish someone for doing something)

所以They are also judged for their ability to steer a canoe.

    typo: considering
