We see the obvious and visible consequences, not the invisible and less obvious ones. Yet those unseen consequences can be more meaningful.。

The author cites many instances to show the readers that "We see the obvious and visible consequences, not the invisible and less obvious ones. Yet those unseen consequences can be more meaningful." I agree this thinking is on the right track but unrealistic. This is idealism. The book mentioned when the government disbursed funds to help typhoon victims it is only trying to win votes. Because these funds maybe diverted from cancer victims' budget. Although this is unfair to the cancer patients, but that's human nature. It will happen in the future again and again. So there are are two sides to every coin. Publishers are only willing to publish success stories, but not losers. Most people only want to do things that are beneficial to themselves, especially businessmen. Therefore, people only remember winners but not losers.
