請問Buster說的"it wasn't really the pronunciation that bothered me."

這句話在這裡是什麼意思呢?謝謝!

已更新項目:

Analrapist原本是指Tobias的職業analyst and therapist

加起來就變成Analrapist@@

於是他唸了另一個唸法(no no no, it's pronounced aNALRApist)

    此時Buster表示應是即使唸為analrapist也未困擾到他

    2014-04-26 23:23:38 補充:

哈哈 analyst + therapist 變成 analrapist 真有梗!

    (有空也要找這部sitcom來看看)

Buster說it wasn't really the pronunciation that bothered me

    應該是呼應Tobias的解釋:it's pronounced aNALRApist.

    Buster這句的邏輯有兩個可能

    1. analrapist 這詞沒有困擾他(他不排斥anal-sex)

    2. 困擾他的是另外的事(但影片到此就中斷了,不知道後來他有沒有說 it was XXX that bothers me)

C'mon, enlighten me. I'm all ears...

High five! But the guy who combines analyst and therapist and creates "analrapist" is the top notch.

    打出台詞,大家研究

Buster: Well, Mom’s probably right. I couldn’t even stand up to a seal. I don’t real deserve a medal or a party.

Tobias: No, you deserve this. Here, take my business card.

    Buster: Ah!

Tobias: No, no, it’s pronounced a-nal-ra-pist.

Your explanation is even funnier than the video itself!

    2014-04-27 08:43:37 補充:

This kind of joke is ONLY good when you understand it. If not, it is really just weird saying. This is why I say your explanation is funnier.

    2014-04-27 10:46:55 補充:

Yes, that is very creative combination! Whoever wrote it must have a funny bone!

    2014-04-27 10:54:56 補充:

Sometimes when I saw people asking question related to grammar and translation, I really feel sorry for them. They have lost the enjoyment to experience the expression of a language.

    2014-04-27 10:56:07 補充:

One can only learn a language by experiencing this kind of understanding directly first hand, not through translation or grammar analysis.

    2014-04-27 11:42:28 補充:

羅莉知識長! Don't worry, poster S can understand what 老翻哥 said very well, according to the questions he (or she) had asked in the past (by the way, I did answer a few of them).

    2014-04-27 11:43:47 補充:

Be honest with you, having the joke translated into Chinese, it DID lose some of its funny points.

    2014-04-27 11:47:26 補充:

About #014! I fully agree with you, 老翻哥! This kind of asker will really prevail in English learning. He (or she) already has good English proficiency, but just lack of real life experience and cultural background. Our help will give him (or her) a lift in these areas.

    翻哥好像答太快了

    他不在乎名片上的頭銜是如何發音的

it wasn't really the pronunciation that bothered me."

    在乎的是那頭銜的意涵

    2014-04-26 22:40:47 補充:

    oh, 我也沒看過全片。

    這段我的解讀是: Buster看到名片, ah... 了一聲 (嚇一跳?)

    對方以為他要唸,但發音錯誤。所以教他那個字如何發音。
