條件句用直述語氣動詞現在簡單式，表示這是「真實」的條件。

2. If I spoke to the manager directly, we might be able to get the contract.

條件句用假設語氣過去式動詞，表示這個狀況目前並未發生。這是「假」的條件，不會真有這種狀況發生。

3. If I had spoken to the manager directly, we might be able to get the contract.

條件句用假設語氣過去完成式動詞，表示這個狀況過去未曾發生。這也是假的條件。

4. If I should speak to the manager directly, we might be able to get the contract.

條件句用假設語氣的助動詞should，表示我認為將來我沒有必要去做這件事，或我認為將來大概不會發生。是假的條件。

這題沒有前後文，很難斷定時間點。不過依常情，A 比 B 好。 因為看不出有什麼理由是「與現在事實相反」？究竟 contract 被拒絕了沒有？ 如果被拒絕了，那是過去了。若沒被拒絕，那只能是推測，而不是「與事實相反」，要用 A。

就英語而言，A 「百分之百」是正確的！ 從來沒有「未來條件式要用 will」的規則和邏輯！

不論 Future real conditional 或 Present real conditional 都是 type 1 conditional，可以用助動詞來表示 degree of certainty，是可能性「程度」的問題，一種對可能性的推測，might be able to get the contract 表示可能拿的到合約，只是自忖可能性較低，如此而已，哪有一定要用 will 的道理？ 天下哪有只能表達「一定」會拿到，卻不能表達 「可能」會拿到的道理？
