die of與die from的用法?

Several million people worldwide die from diseases carried by mosquitoes each year.

    die of + direct causes

die from + direct or indirect causes

It is OK to say "Several million people worldwide die from diseases carried by mosquitoes each year."

because the mosquito diseases may not kill those people but to weaken their immune system so that other diseases (for example, flu) then cause their death.

In this case, many die of the flu and die from mosquito diseases.

因...而死= die of, die from, die by, die through

Mr. Black died of pneumonia today in hospital.

    He died from overwork.

    He died by violence.=

    He died through neglect.=

He died by his own hand.=
