    (1)participle phrase----to taking a walk;

    (2)Indirect speech:-

    He asked her if she would like "to taking a walk".

    (3)to accept=to be willing to accept;

    ---to take=to be willing to accept the taking;(participle phrase)

    (4)Hence:-He asked her whether (what she said) is to be willing on taking a walk(=to accept the taking).In making suggestions,what will happen if=what if=What if she accepts the taking a walk?(Indirect speech)
