想請問個英文高手大大們,最近在雜誌上看到一段英文句子:Although unable to walk,Helen is still happy. 請問這句是分詞構句嗎 ?但unable to 是形容詞,前面應該多加一個Being 不是嗎? 煩請大大們可以為我解惑嗎 謝謝!?

    Although (she is) unable to walk, Helen is still happy. ←← 本句的主因是主詞一致,(she is)才符合文法。

    例1. Although (she is) unable to run, Helen can walk long. ←← 本句的主因是主詞一致,(she is)才符合文法。

    例2. Although (he was) a man of the world, he was simple and direct. ←← 本句的主因是主詞一致,(he was)才符合文法。

    although--conjunction;

    Although unable to walk----------used to introduce a statement that makes main statement seem surprising---having the form of a participle phrase;The subordinating conjunction eg:-although, because, if, as , introduces a subordinate adverb clause of reason, in a subordinate position ; hence no need to add "Being"

    Helen is still happy------main statement , followed the subordinate clause.

      謝謝你提供的答覆,但,請問可以使用以文法概念解釋嗎?
