His is a personality characterized by good humor; no one seems able to irritate him.想請問為什麼his後的名詞會跑到冠詞a的後面。?

    句首的His沒抄錯!

    His = his personality

    His (personality) is a personality characterized by good humor; ...

    其情格的特色是具有良好的幽默感;(似乎無人能激怒他。)

    He is a personality...在語意上是不合邏輯的。「他」是一個人,怎麼會和「個性」對等呢?

    若是將personality改為person,我倒是同意。He is a person characterized by good humor;...

    用”characterized by good humor"來修飾person,是OK的。而且全句的中文意思,大致不變。

    版大問:「為何可省略personality?」

    嗯,這就好像以下的例子:

    Mary: I have a red car.

    Helen: Mine is red too. = My car is red too.

    本題句子是正確的,但是,「最佳解答」卻是似是而非吧。

    # 本題的主詞 "his" 係「第三人稱的所有格代名詞」,與「第三人稱的所有格(his)」相同,文法解析時,較易混淆,所以,我用下記的例句提示,並把本題句子的主詞 "his" 改為 "mine"吧。

    Mary:I have a red car.

    Helen:Mine is red too. = My car is red too.

    # Mine (my personality) is a personality characterized by good humor; no one seems able to irritate me. ←← 文法而言,"(my personality)" 係 "mine" 的「同位語」;”mine” 是「第一人稱的所有格代名詞」,"my" 是「第一人稱的所有格」。

    你抄錯書,應該是he is,或者你看錯he’s
